Like today. Now that I've admitted this, I can be honest that I had no idea what I was going to blog about today, until I said, "hey! I can relate to that!" when I saw this article: Idle Doodles by Famous Authors.
I can't quite relate to the "famous author" part, but I can definitely understand being a writer who doodles. I've written before about how engaging other creative activities, like visual art, can help me in my writing. I definitely don't have any talent to speak of in that realm, but I love doing it anyway. Art shouldn't be reserved for those who can create masterpieces!
So even though my doodles aren't something I'd ordinarily share with anyone else, here's one I created last night. I was trying to decide on a title for this poem, came up with something like "Holding On," but then I began drawing the title instead of writing it.
It can't be just coincidence that I wake up after creating this to see that article. Maybe I'm on to something... if nothing else, a warning to burn my most embarrassing doodles, in case I become famous and some website digs them up...
